About Dr. Edmond Lau
Dr. Edmond Lau is a board-certified Medical Aesthetic Physician. For the past 10 years, he ran his general practice focusing on primary care dermatology and aesthetic medicine in northern Malaysia, Penang. In addition to treating common skin diseases, such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis, he performs a wide range of medical aesthetic procedures, such as laser, dermal fillers injection, botulinum toxin treatments, Ultherapy, and Thermage. Dr. Edmond believes one’s skin health and overall appearance have a direct impact on their overall well-being and self-esteem. Hence, his daily work with his patient directly impacts his patients physically and emotionally.
Dr. Edmond is a true believer in evidence-based medicine. Safety, professionalism, and empathy are the three pillars that guide his practice. Guided by the latest medical research and innovative approach, he can achieve more for his patient.
Education & Career
Dr. Edmond obtained his Medical Degree (MB Bch BAO) from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) in 2010. After graduation, he completed his medical internship training at Putrajaya Hospital and when on to serve as a medical officer at Seberang Jaya Hospital in Penang. He subsequently pursues further study in aesthetic medicine and primary care dermatology.
In 2014, Dr. Edmond embarked on a significant career move by joining KO Skin Specialist Centre, Malaysia’s largest dermatology, laser, and aesthetic centre. His exceptional leadership and vision led to his promotion to Executive Director and Marketing Director. Since 2015, he has been bringing his expertise to Klinik Dr. Ko in Juru, Penang.
In 2024, Dr. Edmond took a bold step and established his own practice, EC Skin Laser Aesthetic Clinic, in Seberang Perai, Penang. Beyond his clinical work, he has become a sought-after speaker and trainer, sharing his expertise in a range of aesthetic treatments, including fillers such as Belotero and Radiesse, as well as Xeomin, Juvelook, Ultherapy, and ultrasound in aesthetic medicine. Dr. Edmond’s training sessions extend beyond Malaysia to include Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines, where he inspires and educates professionals across the region.

Despite his busy clinical schedule, Dr. Edmond enjoys cooking and preparing simple meals. He loves preparing healthy meals for his family. Whenever there is a chance, he loves getting family and friends for meal gatherings.
